Three Men Charged After Endicott Woman is Hit By Pellet
Endicott police say three people face felony assault charges following an incident on the village's North Side.
A woman sustained a laceration to her neck when she was struck by a pellet fired from an "airsoft" gun in the 200 block of Oak Hill Avenue around 3 p.m. Tuesday. She was evaluated at the scene but was not seriously hurt.
The three 19-year-old suspects were taken into custody after a state trooper pulled over a vehicle on McKinley Avenue a short time later.
Police say two of the men arrested were from Vestal and the third was from Apalachin. All were charged with second-degree assault.
Investigators believe the men also were involved in a later incident in which a paintball struck a house in the 500 block of Prescott Avenue. No charges had yet been filed in that incident, which occurred after the woman was hit by the pellet nearby.
