Temporary COVID Restrictions Lift in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania restaurants are being allowed to reopen at half-capacity January 4 after being reigned back almost three weeks ago by Governor Tom Wolf to try to control a surge in coronavirus cases.
Other temporary measures closing gyms, theaters and casinos expire but previous occupancy and other pandemic response measures like mask-wearing remain in place.
Restaurants still have to certify with the state, adhere to the occupancy requirements and space tables six feet apart. Alcohol served for on-site consumption must be sold before 11 p.m. and consumed by midnight as part of a meal or carry-out.
