Suspicious Fire Investigated in Endwell
New York State Police Investigators are collecting information concerning a fire that damaged an Endwell home and resulted in the arrest of the homeowner.
Emergency Services officials say a neighbor reported the porch on fire at 6:58 p.m. November 7 and feared someone was in the house on Foster Street as the flames spread to the main structure.
Sources say it turns out no one was in the house and the owner was located a short time later on Delaware Avenue and taken into custody.
Firefighters from Endwell were assisted by crews from Endicott, Union Center and West Corners as well as Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies, New York State Police and a New York State Police detection dog.
State Police early November 8 had not released any information concerning the investigation.
