The Maine-Endwell Spartans used speed and key defensive plays to roll to a 44-14 victory over the Chenango Valley Warriors at M-E on Friday night.  The Spartans broke an 8-8 tie with three consecutive scores and went into halftime with a 30-8 lead.

Touchdowns from Joe Mancini, Evan Caro and  Ryan Van Fleet powered M-E to the big halftime lead. Despite several lengthy drives the Warriors could not close the gap.  Binghamton ups its record to 3-0 while CV drops to 2-1.  Coming into Friday night's action Maine-Endwell was ranked fifth in New York among Class B schools in balloting.

The teams are in action next weekend.  CV visits Owego  on Owego's new artificial turf while Vestal matches  up against Maine-Endwell on Friday night at Vestal.
