Scott Sasina Interview: Life After TV News
Endicott native Scott Sasina became a familiar face to television viewers in the Binghamton area over the past decade as he worked as a news reporter and an evening anchor at WBNG.
Sasina hasn't been seen on 12 News since he signed off at the end of the 6 p.m. report on July 28. He's now working as a communications manager at Binghamton University.
Sasina visited WNBF Radio in September to chat about growing up in the Binghamton area and what prompted him to pursue a career in journalism. He also talked about his decision to make a big change this year.
Sasina and his wife Katie faced some tough challenges when their son Max was born. Max was in the hospital for four months. During that time, Sasina provided occasional updates to viewers. He and Katie appreciated the words of encouragement they received during that difficult time.
Sasina said while leaving TV news was a tough decision, he's sure it was the right one for him and his family.
If you've been missing Scott Sasina on WBNG in recent weeks, you'll enjoy hearing the radio interview.
