The Binghamton Rumble Ponies defeated the Portland Sea Dogs this afternoon (Wednesday) by a final score of 4-3 in 11 innings.  Portland tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the game into extra innings.

Patrick Biondi drove in the winning run in the eleventh frame with an infield single.  Luis Guillorme was red-hot at the plate going 5-5.  Portland took two out of three games in the series and the Rumble Ponies finished the road trip at 3-3 with one rainout.

Ben Griset earned his first win of the season and first in Double-A competition.  Tyler Pill started on the mound for the Rumble Ponies and gave up two unearned runs in five innings of work.

The Rumble Ponies host the Erie SeaWolves Thursday night at 6:35 in the home opener (air at 620 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The gates open at 5:30.  Rumble Pony officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony prior to unveiling over two million dollars of stadium enhancements.
