The Binghamton Rumble Ponies won their fifth consecutive game last (Tuesday) night when Jeff McNeil and Peter Alsonso slammed solo home runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give them a 6-5 victory.

Tonight the Ponies look to make it a six-pack as they go for the series sweep against Erie.

With the win Binghamton ups its record to 19-17 while the SeaWolves fall to 14-23.  Andrew Church starts for Binghamton tonight while Beau Burrows gets the nod for Erie.  Kevin Taylor is riding a ten-game hitting streak for the Rumble Ponies after going 1-4 on Tuesday night.

The long ball has been a key to Binghamton's success.  The Rumble Ponies have hit eight home runs in the last four games and are tied for the Eastern League lead with Reading with 38.  Alonso and Cavan Biggio from New Hampshire top the circuit with 11 homers.

Following tonight's 6:35 game (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) the Rumble Ponies hit the road for a five game series in New Hampshire.  Binghamton returns home next Tuesday for a 6:35 game against  Richmond and remains home through Memorial Day.
