The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are down to one final series in their 2019 season.  The Hartford Yard Goats visit NYSEG Stadium tonight (Friday) to begin a four-game series.  Tonight's first pitch is set for 7:05 (air at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The teams meet the next three nights and finish the season at 1:05 on Monday afternoon.

As both teams head to the conclusion of the regular season Hartford is in a better position.  The Yard Goats are in third place in the Eastern Division with a second half record of 35-33.  Binghamton is in last place in the East at 29-42.  In the season series the Yard Goats are 7-2 and swept a three-game series against the Rumble Ponies a couple of weeks ago.

David Peterson makes the start on the mound for the Rumble Ponies.  He is 3-6 with a 4.45 ERA.  Countering for the Yard Goats is Matt Whitehouse. He started the season in Akron and was signed by the Rockies organization (Hartford's Major League affiliate) in June.  He makes his eighth start of the season.
