
Rumble Ponies Host Seawolves for Two
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies continue their homestand as they host the Erie Seawolves for five consecutive games. The series begins tonight with the resumption of a suspended game from April 14 followed by a seven inning game. The game resumes in the bottom of the first inning.
The Rumble Ponies are looking to snap a six-game home losing streak. The Richmond Flying Squirrels just left town after a three-game series sweep. Heading into tonight's twinbill the Rumble Ponies are 4-0 versus Erie including one win at NYSEG Stadium.
Ali Sanchez has emerged as a solid player for Binghamton. He carries a 13-game hitting streak into the action tonight. Mickey Jannis gets the start for Binghamton in game one while Joe Zanghi is the scheduled second game starter.
Following a single game on Tuesday night the Rumble Ponies will host Erie in another doubleheader on Wednesday night. The first pitch is scheduled for 5:35. Binghamton's overall record is 36-32 and 2-3 in the second half of the season. The Rumble Ponies have had much better success on the road so far. Binghamton's road record is 26-12 but only 10-20 at NYSEG Stadium.
