The Binghamton Rumble Ponies snapped a five-game losing streak on Thursday night when they defeated the Akron RubberDucks 4-1 at NYSEG Stadium.  All-Star Patrick Mazeika went 2-2 with a home run and a pair of runs batted in to account for half of his team's runs.  Mazeika now has nine home runs which ties him with Barrett Barnes for the club's lead.

Mickey Jannis had another solid outing raising his record to 5-1.  He gave up just one run and eight hits in six innings of work.  Jannis now has the most career wins in a Binghamton Mets or Rumble Ponies uniform.  He moved past Tyler Pill on the all-time wins list.

Austin McGeorge looks for his first Binghamton win on the mound tonight.  Akron counters with Adam Scott who is 2-0.  Binghamton ups its record versus the RubberDucks to 5-2 this season.  Binghamton is 6-12 so far in the second half of the Eastern League season.  The RubberDucks are 6-11.
