The Binghamton Rumble Ponies host the Akron RubberDucks tonight (Wednesday) at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  It is the finale of a seven-game homestand.  Two of those seven contests have been postponed due to bad weather.

Binghamton enters tonight's action with a record of 11-8 while Akron is 12-13.  Mike Gibbons is the scheduled pitcher for the Rumble Ponies  He is 2-2 with an ERA of 2.45. Tanner Tully gets the nod for Akron.  He comes in with a record of 2-1 and has a 2.74 ERA.

Binghamton infielder Will Toffey has at least one hit in eight of his last nine games going 9 for 27 with three doubles.  He is hitting .232.  Binghamton has two hitters batting .300 or better.  Barrett Barnes is batting .320 in seven games while Braxton Lee is hitting an even .300.

Tonight's game will be the final game the Rumble Ponies' "Voice" Tim Heiman will broadcast for Binghamton.  Heiman, who is in his eighth season of play-by-play coverage here, has accepted an engineering position with BAE Systems in Endicott.

Jacob Wilkins has been named as his successor.  Wilkins will broadcast his first Rumble Ponies game in Portland, Maine tomorrow night when Binghamton meets the Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field.
