After their three-game sweep of the Richmond Flying Squirrels this week the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are back at NYSEG Stadium for four straight games against the Portland Sea Dogs.  Binghamton ace Anthony Kay carried a 6-2 record into the game.  He won't get his seventh win of the season.  He departed after 4.2 innings with the Rumble Ponies down 2-0.  On a pitch count Kay was pulled after throwing 94 pitches.

Going into Friday night's action the Rumble Ponies held a half-game lead over the Trenton Thunder and a two game lead over the Reading Fightin Phils and Hartford Yard Goats.  Binghamton and the Sea Dogs will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 5:35 (air at 5:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The series concludes with a 2:05PM contest on Sunday afternoon.
