The Binghamton Rumble Ponies open up their homestand with a doubleheader beginning at 5:35 P.M this afternoon at NYSEG Stadium against the Hartford Yard Goats.  Binghamton had a break in the action with no game scheduled yesterday.

Coming into this series the Rumble Ponies are 49-57 and tied for 4th place in the Eastern Division.  Hartford is in 3rd place in the same division  with a slate of 49-55. The Yard Goats are 11 games behind first place New Hampshire and nine in back of second place Trenton.  The Ponies are 12 in back of the Fisher Cats and 10 behind the Thunder.

In the first game Harol Gonzalez puts an 0-3 record on the line against Hartford's Ryan Castellani at 5-7.  In the nightcap the Ponies start Kevin McGowan (0-1) against Yard Goat Sean Nolin (2-2).

The Rumble Ponies hope to reverse their fortunes against  Hartford beginning tonight.  The Yard Goats have won the last seven meetings between the two teams.  Binghamton's last win over the Goats was back on May 7 and that was a 2-1 decision.

Air for tonight's twinbill is scheduled for 5:20 P.M with Tim Heiman and Jonny Wincott calling the action on News Radio 1290 WNBF and wnbf.com.
