After dropping a doubleheader to the Erie SeaWolves at NYSEG Stadium on Wednesday night the Binghamton Rumble Ponies head to Altoona to begin a five-game series against the Curve.  Tonight's game begins at 6:30 with air on News Radio 1290 WNBF at 6.

On Thursday night the Erie SeaWolves swept the Rumble Ponies in a doubleheader by scores of 10-0 and 2-1.  Ali Sanchez extended his consecutive game hitting streak to 17 as he got hits in both games.  Sanchez now owns the longest hitting streak of the season in the Eastern League. In the first game Luc Rennie took the loss and dropped to 0-2 with Binghamton.  He gave up all ten runs in 5.2 innings of work.  In the nightcap starter Jason Vilera took the loss after pitching 5.2 innings and giving up both runs.

Heading into the series Binghamton is 38-35 overall and 3-5 in the second half of the season.  Altoona is 39-35 overall and 4-3 in the second half.  The teams play another single game on Friday night.  They meet in a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 PM on Saturday and then a 6:00 PM game on Sunday evening.  All the action can be heard on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
