
Rumble Ponies Head to Akron for Weekend Series
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies play the first game in a three-game series tonight (Friday) in Akron at Canal Park when they face the RubberDucks at 7:05 (6:50 air on News Radio 1290 WNBF). Binghamton begins the three-game series in third place in the Eastern Division. Reading is in front in the division with a second-half record of 25-18. Portland is second 4.0 games behind followed by the Rumble Ponies at 4.5 back.
The RubberDucks are last in the Western Division at 15-26 and are 15.5 games behind first place Erie. Binghamton leads the series 10-4 and has won five of the seven games played at Canal Park.
Tommy Wilson makes the start for the Rumble Ponies. He is 3-4 with a 4.86 ERA. Tanner Tully counters for Akron. His record is 6-8 with a 4.58 ERA.
The teams play Saturday at 7:05 and conclude the series on Sunday with a 2:05 game. Binghamton returns to NYSEG Stadium next Tuesday night for a 6:35 game against the Harrisburg Senators.
