The Binghamton Rumble Ponies were shutout out 3-0 by the Akron RubberDucks at Canal Park on Saturday night.  The Rumble Ponies were unable to cross the plate against Akron pitching.  Starter Alex Morgan went the first six innings to earn the win.  David Peterson started on the mound for Binghamton, went 3.1 innings and took the loss.

The Rumble Ponies fall to 22-24 in the second half of the season while Akron ups its record to 16-27.  Despite the loss Binghamton continues to have the best road record in the Eastern league at 38-23.

The series concludes on Sunday at 2:05.  Airtime is set for 1:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Binghamton returns home to host the Harrisburg Senators beginning on Tuesday evening at 6:35 at NYSEG Stadium.
