The Binghamton Rumble Ponies return home tonight (Thursday) on the 4th of July to play the first in a four-game series against the Akron RubberDucks at NYSEG Stadium.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 and coverage begins at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

Binghamton is happy to return home after getting swept by the Erie SeaWolves in Erie.  Last night the Rumble Ponies fell in ten innings.  Binghamton had taken a 3-2 lead on an RBI single from Luis Carpio.  But in the home half of the inning Derek Hill ripped a walk-ff two-run home run to give the SeaWolves the victory.  The Rumble Ponies continue to lose in heart-breaking fashion.  The loss last night was the fourth time in the past five games Binghamton has lost in walk-off fashion.

Mickey Jannis is tonight's scheduled starter for the Rumble Ponies.  Eli Morgan counters for Akron.  Binghamton will play night games again on Friday and Saturday nights and a 2:05 game on Sunday.  The league then heads to a three-day All-Star Game break.
