Rumble Ponies Bring It Home Tonight
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are happy to return to the friendly confines of NYSEG Stadium tonight when they host the Portland Sea Dogs at 6:35 P.M. (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The Rumble Ponies dropped all four games over the weekend to the Akron RubberDucks in Akron including a 9-5 decision on Sunday. That puts Binghamton's record at 43-48 and in fourth place in the Eastern Division, eight games out of first place.
Tim Tebow continues to make headlines for Binghamton. It has been quite a week for Tebow. He was the designated hitter for the Eastern Divsion in the Eastern League All-Star Game in Trenton on Wednesday night. He went 1-4 and hit a double in his first at-bat. Heading into the homestand Tebow is batting.276 with six home runs and 35 runs batted in for the Rumble Ponies. Tebow also revealed that he is dating the 2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. Things are definitely looking good for the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner.
One of the New York Mets' top propects, Justin Dunn, gets the start for Binghamton. He is 3-2 with a 3.03 ERA. Opposing him is Kyle Hart who is 6-5 with a 3.74 ERA. The teams match-up in a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 5:35 P.M.
