The Binghamton Rumble Ponies embark on their final road trip of the season tonight (Monday) when they travel to Bowie to meet the Baysox at 7:05 (air at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The Rumble Ponies begin a three-game series in Bowie followed  a four-game series in New Hampshire before returning home to host Portland next Monday evening.

The Rumble Ponies had hoped to make a late season playoff run but have faltered and now have lost six straight contests to fall nine games behind the division-leading Reading Fightin Phils.  Binghamton has dropped to 25-35 and now is last in the Eastern Division.

Bowie continues to fight for the top spot in the Western Division and currently is three games in back of first place Erie.  The Baysox are Baltimore's Double A affiliate and are 38-19 in the second half of the season.

David Peterson starts on the mound for Binghamton.  he is 3-5 with a 4.00 ERA.  Mike Bauman counters for the Baysox.  He checks in with a 1.86 ERA and a 3-2 slate.
