The Binghamton Rumble Ponies return to NYSEG Stadium to begin an eight-game homestand tonight against the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 7:05 (air at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The Rumble Ponies host Richmond over the weekend and remain home for five games against Erie beginning on Monday night with the completion of a suspended game plus a regularly scheduled contest.

Binghamton heads into tonight's action following a clean sweep of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Manchester.  Ali Sanchez had three hits for the Rumble Ponies last night and has now hit safely in ten consecutive games. The Rumble Ponies have two of the top three hitters in the Eastern league. Braxton Lee leads the circuit with a .302 average.  Sanchez is third at .288.

 

Harol Gonzalez at 3-2 is on the hill for Binghamton while Brandon Beachy gets the ball for Richmond.  The two teams meet again at 6:35 on Saturday evening and conclude the series on Sunday with a 2:05 start.
