The Binghamton Rumble Ponies were scheduled to begin their week-long homestand tonight at 6:35 by hosting the Akron RubberDucks.  However, due to inclement weather tonight's game has been postponed. The two teams are now set to play a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5:35 P.M. (air at 5:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The Ponies were not scheduled to play last night.  In their last game the Rumble Ponies dropped an 8-5 decision at Reading.  Binghamton checks in with a 55-64 slate which is good for 4th placed in the Eastern Division.  The RubberDucks are 67-52 and in first place in the Western Division.

Lefty Matt Gage was scheduled to the start for Binghamton.  He is 1-0.  The RubberDucks counter with Right-hander Kyle Dowdy who is 0-2.  The RubberDucks have dominated the series so far this season.  Akron has won nine of the ten meetings between the two clubs this year.  The RubberDucks are 2-8 in their last ten outings.  Binghamton is 5-5 in the last ten games played.

This marks the beginning of the next to last homestand of the season for Binghamton.  The Rumble Ponies are home for eight straight games.  The team returns to NYSEG Stadium to conclude the regular season with a four-game series against the Portland Sea Dogs over Labor Day weekend.
