The Binghamton Rumble Ponies took the first game of their three-game series against the Bowie Baysox last night at NYSEG Stadium by a final score of 7-2.  Mickey Jannis went eight innings which is the longest Double-A stint in his career and got his fifth win of the season.  He gave up both of Bowie's runs.

David Hess suffered the loss and saw his record fall to 6-5.  He gave up six runs over 5.2 innings of work.  Five Rumble Ponies had two hits in the game.

With the win Binghamton ups its record to 37-27.  Tonight the teams meet again at 6:35 PM (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  P.J. Conlon is the scheduled starter for the Rumble Ponies.  Tanner Scott gets the ball for the Baysox.  The series concludes tomorrow night at 6:35 PM at NYSEG Stadium.
