Ponies Look to Silence Thunder
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies meet the Trenton Thunder in Trenton tonight (Wednesday) in the second game of their three -game series. Tonight's game begins at 7:00 PM with Tim Heiman's pre-game set for 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF. Last night Trenton scored three runs in the eighth inning to battle back from a 3-0 deficit and then scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth when Thairo Estrada singled to provide the walk-off winner.
Trenton's victory puts them three games ahead of the Rumble Ponies in the Eastern League's Eastern Division.
Binghamton is 7-3 in its last ten games and 28-18 overall. Trenton is 8-2 over their past ten outings and stands at 33-17.
Tonight Corey Oswalt makes the start for Binghamton. He puts his 4-3 record on the line against Trenton's Josh Rogers who is 1-0. The teams conclude the series tomorrow night in another 7:00 PM start. Binghamton returns home for the weekend and begins a seven-game homestand Friday night by hosting the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05 PM.
