Mother Nature has been much tougher on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies than opposing teams in the Eastern League so far this season.  Rain and unplayable field conditions have forced the postponement of eight games and one suspended game.  Heading into Wednesday night's game the Ponies were 9-4.

The RubberDucks have fallen to 7-11 and have had their pitchers pounded for 27 runs in the first two games in the series.  A win in tonight's (Wednesday's) series finale would give the Rumble Ponies a sweep of the six-game road trip.  That would be a franchise first.  In June of 2013 Binghamton took three straight from Altoona and two straight from Trenton with all five wins coming on the road.

The Rumble Ponies have moved into first place in the Eastern Division of the Eastern League.  They enter the evening with a one-half game lead over the Trenton Thunder.  It is the first time Binghamton has been alone in first place since August, 2015.

Catch the action of tonight's game beginning at 6:20 (air) with Tim Heiman calling the action.  Binghamton returns to NYSEG Stadium to begin a week-long homestand which begins on Thursday evening at 6:35 versus the Portland Sea Dogs.
