The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will try to make it three straight wins when they host the Erie SeaWolves tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 P.M.) at NYSEG Stadium.  Last night a jam-packed crowd cheered the Ponies on to a July 4th win as Binghamton topped Erie 7-5.  The win puts Binghamton's record at 41-42 and in a tie for third place in the Eastern Division. Mickey Jannis started and won his sixth game this season.

Erie comes into tonight's game at 39-44 and in fifth place in the Eastern Division.  Binghamton has fared well so far this season against the SeaWolves with a 10-3 edge in 13 games.

Tonight fans will see the Double-A debut of starting pitcher Joe Cavallaro.  He is just up from Class A Columbia in the South Atlantic League where he won eight games and had an ERA of 2.09.  He was drafted by the Mets in the 24th round in 2017.

Binghamton is home for the weekend as their series with Erie runs through Sunday afternoon.  Then the teams shutdown for three days for the Eastern League All-Star Game.  Binghamton will return to action after the All-Star break with a four-game series in Akron from July 12 - 15.
