The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have an open date on their Eastern League schedule today.  The day off follows a Binghamton 6-2 win over the Reading Fightin Phils on Father's Day at NYSEG Stadium.  The win puts Binghamton's record at 36-27.  The win gave the Rumble Ponies the rubber game of the three-game series.  Binghamton is now in third place in the Eastern Division of the Eastern League, seven games behind first-place Trenton.  Reading is now in second place, six games behind the Thunder.

Chris Flexen was outstanding on the mound working seven innings and upping his record to 2-1.  David Thompson ripped two home runs for the Ponies to lead them offensively.

The Rumble Ponies return to action on Tuesday night when they begin a three-game series against the Bowie Baysox.  Start time for all three game is 6:35 with air on News Radio 1290 WNBF set for 6:20 PM.
