
Ponies Continue in Portland
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are red-hot despite playing in the dismal weather all over the northeast.
Heading into their three-game series in Portland the Rumble Ponies are tied for first place in the East Division of the Eastern League. Binghamton is 17-10 and has won eight of its last nine games.
In Monday night's opening game in the series the Rumble Ponies and Sea Dogs battled to a scoreless tie into the ninth inning before Tomas Nido singled in a run. The Ponies scored one more and picked up a 2-0 decision.
Casey Delgado makes the start for Binghamton tonight in a 6:00 PM game (5:45 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF) while Teddy Stankiewicz earns the nod for Portland. Delgado is 1-4 while Stankiewicz is 1-2 this season. The two teams meet again tomorrow night in Portland at 6:00 PM before returning home Thursday night to face the Akron RubberDucks at NYSEG Stadium.
