After an open date on the schedule the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are back in action tonight when they begin a three-game series in Harrisburg against the Senators.  Start time is slated for 6:30 with all the action coming up on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

The Rumble Ponies come into the series with a record of 30-21 and are tied for second place in the Eastern Division of the Eastern League. Binghamton and Reading trail Trenton by 1.5 games.  Harrisburg remains the top team in the Western Division with a record of 35-21.

Binghamton has already played the Senators three times in Harrisburg this season.  The Rumble Ponies took all three games in the early May series. So far Binghamton has fared well against Western Division teams compiling an 18-4 record versus those teams.  Binghamton is just 12-17 versus Eastern Division teams.

Left-hander David Peterson gets the start tonight for Binghamton. He is 2-2 with an ERA of 4.14.  Opposing him is Harrisburg's right-hander Mario Sanchez.  He is 3-2 with an ERA of 5.91.

Following three games in Harrisburg the Rumble Ponies head to Hartford for another three-game series against the Hartford Yard Goats.  The Rumble Ponies return home next Tuesday at 6:35 P.M. to host the Trenton Thunder for three straight contests.
