The Youngstown State University Penguins contained the Binghamton Bearcats outside shooting game and went on to defeat BU 73-55 on Wednesday night.  The Penguins limited Binghamton to 5-28 shooting (17.9%) from three-point range to up their record to 7-5 on the season.  With the loss the Bearcats fall to 5-6.  It was their first game back after final exams week.  The Penguins swept the home and home series with
Binghamton.  Youngstown State topped the Bearcats 58-48 at the Events Center last season.

Pierre Sarr was the standout for the Bearcats.  He scored a game-high 20 points on 9-14 shooting.  George Tinsley scored 13 points for Binghamton.  Naz Bohannon led the Peguins with 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Following the game Binghamton traveled to Pittsburgh.  The Bearcats face the University of Pittsburgh Panthers Friday night at 7:00 PM at the Peterson Events Center.  It will be the final non-conference road game for Binghamton.  The Bearcats return home to host Hartwick on Sunday December 29 in the final non-conference game of the season.
