
Pitt Panthers Prove Too Much for Bearcats Men
The University of Pittsburgh Panthers forced 27 turnovers on the way to a 79-53 victory over the Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team at the Petersen Events Center on Friday night. The win upped Pitt's record to 9-3. The loss puts Binghamton's record at 5-7. The Bearcats have one more non-conference game and that is against Hartwick on Sunday, December 29 at 2 PM at the Events Center.

Sam Sessoms scored a game high 23 points for the Bearcats including a 5-11 shooting performance from three-point range., No other Bearcat scored in double figures.
Pitt had four players score in double digits including 14 points from Justin Champagnie. He also grabbed ten rebounds for a double-double.
The Panthers led 41-21 at the end of the first half and
also held a 38-32 advantage in the second period. Binghamton had more problems making three-point shots. The Bearcats shot just 27 percent from beyond the arc making eight of 30 attempts.
