Meredith Man Accused of Imprisonment

A Delaware County man is accused of beating a person in a dispute in Meredith and preventing the person from calling for help.

New York State Police say 27 year old Donavan Flood of Meredith is charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor unlawful imprisonment in the incident at around 10:30 a.m. October 6on County Route 10.

The victim told troopers that after being beaten and having their phone broken, they were able to escape and flag down a passing car.

Troopers found Flood at the Walmart in Oneonta and placed him under arrest.

In addition to criminal mischief and unlawful imprisonment, flood is charged with harassment.

He was sent to the Delaware county Jail on $5,000 bail.
