The westbound tractor-trailer overturned on the connector between I-88 and Interstate 81 in the town of Chenango shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.

The right lane of the bridge over I-81 was closed following the crash. No significant traffic problems were reported due to the lane closure.

State troopers and Broome County sheriff's deputies were assisted by units from the Chenango Fire Company and the state Department of Transportation.

Some of the scrap from the overturned trailer wound up on an embankment next to the highway behind the Comfort Inn hotel.
