A Whitney Point man has been named in a four-count indictment in connection with a violent assault.

26-year-old Thomas Sessions was taken into custody last month by police in Arizona.

Authorities had said Sessions was the suspect in connection with an attack on a person in the town of Lisle.

A Broome County grand jury has indicted Sessions on counts of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree attempted assault. He also was indicted on two counts of assault.

According to New York State Police, Sessions was suspected of knocking on the door of a residence on March 23. He then was said to have told the person who came to the door that his vehicle had broken down. When the person turned around, Sessions allegedly hit the person in the head.
