An Endicott man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a village restaurant.

Authorities say 64-year-old Raymond Clark of North Street has been charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.

Endicott police say a cash register was stolen from Crown Fried Chicken at 1200 North Street. Some money and a federal income tax check also were taken. The burglary at the business occurred at 3:12 a.m. Friday.

Clark lives in an apartment in a building next door to the restaurant. He was taken into custody at his residence without incident.

Investigators say they searched Clark's apartment and a second location. Police have recovered most of the proceeds from the burglary.

Clark is accused of aiding and abetting another person in the incident.

Clark was arraigned in Endicott village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.

Detectives say the investigation is continuing and more arrests are possible. People with information may contact police at 607.785.3341.
