COVID-19 has placed restrictions in many areas of our community, so this year’s NYSEG collections were done with safety protocols in place.

NYSEG employees here in Binghamton have been involved in the holiday gift collection for the past three decades, collecting toys to give to children throughout our community.

This year’s drive collected gifts for over 70 children, ranging from newborns to 17 years of age, the gifts were organized and distributed through the Family and Children’s society of Broome County.

Quoted in the news release, Lori Cole, manager of regulatory and tariffs at NYSEG said “Despite challenges related to Coronavirus, we’re glad we were able to collect so many gifts for these children,”

The gifts were delivered to the Family and Children’s Society of Broome County last week, and brightened the holidays for children, who have very little this holiday season.

Another wonderful act of kindness and genericity from people in our community, Thank You to the Binghamton employees of  New York State Electric and Gas.
