Are you getting into the summer vacation planning mode? I already have my vacation time set. Of course, it will all be at a campground where my travel trailer resides, and I am looking forward to all that relaxation.

If you know me, even though my time off is set, I still like to see what interesting places there are to stay throughout the Empire State. You never know, my plans could change, should I see something interesting.

Well, it just so happens, I did find a rental property that looks very interesting. This vacation rental is called The Old Game Farm. You might be familiar with what used to be there - The Catskill Game Farm, which was the first privately-owned Zoo in America as well as the largest.

The zoo opened in 1933 and closed in 2006. Fast forward to now, the listing notes that "guests can stay on the property in our boutique inn or in an upscale private campsite. Guests have full access to explore 200+ acres with over 100 buildings of the abandoned zoo.

The 9000-foot mansion features six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, a fully-stocked chef's kitchen, an indoor jacuzzi, a sauna room, a seasonal hot tub, and a fire pit. Options are to rent the entire building or just individual rooms.

Or, you can rent out one of the tents in their Overlook Campsite. Check out some of the photos below. It may be the perfect place for a summer getaway.
