
Weekly Updates Are Here For New York’s Fall Foliage
You know it's the fall season when the leaves begin to change colors. I really noticed that while heading to camp this past weekend in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
According to the New York State Fall Foliage report, this past weekend saw some significant changes in the Adirondack and Catskill regions. This was the first report of the fall season, with updates occurring every Wednesday for the next few weeks, until the season has passed.
11 New York State Fall Foliage Regions
- Adirondack
- Capitol-Saratoga
- Catskills
- Central New York
- Finger Lakes
- Chautaugua-Allegany
- Greater Niagara
- Thousand Islands-Seaway
- Hudson Valley
- Long Island
- New York City
Broome and Chenango Counties are part of Central New York. Cayuga, Tompkins, and Cortland Counties are in the Finger Lakes region, and Delaware County is a part of the Catskills area.

For week one of the report, Broome County was listed as less than a 5% change along the Greenway Walking Trail in Binghamton, and in Chenango County, less than 10% change in Bainbridge, Norwich, and Preston, with slightly muted touches of orange and brown leaves.
