Homer Man Dies in UTV Crash

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they are investigating a crash of a Utility Terrain Vehicle that claimed the life of the operator.

Deputies responded to a wooded area between Vern King Road and Route 11 in Homer shortly before 11 a-m Saturday and found the UTV left the trail and hit a tree, ejecting the driver.

75 year old Donald Barber of Homer died in the crash.

Sheriff’s officials say the trail is used to access a hunting camp in the forested area.
