Syracuse Man Charged in Cortlandville Home Invasion & Assault
A Syracuse man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges following a July home invasion and assault in the Town of Cortlandville. Cortland County Sheriff’s officials arrested 29-year-old Alejandro Maidonado on Saturday, October 29.
Sheriff’s officials say they were called to the home on Route 11 in the Town of Cortlandville on July 25 for a reported assault.
Authorities say their investigation revealed Maidonado and a man identified as Leonard Walker allegedly unlawfully entered the home, attacking the victim inside.
According to the Sheriff’s office, a warrant was issued for the arrest of both Maidonado and Walker with the latter being arrested on October 12.
Deputies served the arrest warrant on Maidonado on the 29th and he was arraigned through Central Arraignment Processing on Sunday.
Maidonado is charged with felony Burglary in the 2nd Degree and misdemeanor Assault in the Third Degree and Conspiracy in the 5th Degree. He’s been ordered to appear in Cortlandville Town Court at a later date.
Authorities did not provide information on the injuries suffered by the Route 11 resident during the attack.
