Hillcrest Fire Victim Identified

Broome County Fire Investigators say the person who died in a trailer fire in Hillcrest February 26 is identified as 67 year old Roberta Bush.

Authorities say the 8:11 p.m. fire at the Burkes Trailer Park on West Service Road was the result of oxygen from a breathing tube being ignited by cigarette smoking.

Bush died of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters from Hillcrest were assisted by crews from Chenango Bridge, Port Dickinson, Chenango, Harpursville and Five Mile Point.
