Like the B.C. Open before it the Dick's Sporting Goods Open attracts and entertains thousands of attendees.  While golf featuring many of the all-time greats competing is the primary focus there are plenty of other attractions to draw large crowds.  This year's BON JOVI concert on Friday night is expected to draw a record crowd.  Some long-time observers believe a crowd of 40,000 or more will turnout to see the popular group perform.

There are plenty of other activities and demonstrations to take in as part of the tournament as well.  Two Pro-Ams are being held.  One is Wednesday with another on Thursday.  Shot-Gun starts go at 8 AM and 1:30 PM both days.

Another Wednesday feature will be the UHS Golf Expo featuring long-time fan favorite Peter Jacobsen followed by the Pro-Am Cocktail Party in the VIP Lounge.

On Thursday in addition to the Pro-Am the Johnny Hart Christian Fellowship Breakfast will be held at 7:30 AM at the Kalurah Shrine Building..  Tommy Morrissey presents the "One Arm Challenge" followed by another Pro-Am Steak and Lobster Dinner in the VIP Lounge.

Saturday fans are invited to attend the Dennis Walters Golf Show while Sunday includes the Walk to Defeat ALS as play concludes.  News Radio 1290's Roger Neel will be reporting live from the tournament throughout the weekend as well as on wnbf.com
