Chris Flexen is scheduled to make his Major League debut tomorrow (Thursday) night at Petco Park in San Diego as he takes the mound to start for the New York Mets against the Padres.  Start time is 10:10 PM.

Flexen makes the rare move from Double-A Binghamton to the Big Show.  His Rumble Ponies' performance has earned him that look.  He has been a standout in Binghamton where he compiled a record of 6-1 with an ERA of 1.66 in 48.2 innings pitched.

Flexen gets his major League chance with Zack Wheeler put on the disabled list on Monday with what is listed as a stress reaction in his right arm.  Flexen was scheduled to start for Binghamton in Akron on Monday night but that was put on hold as he got the call to join the Mets in San Diego.

Flexen is just two seasons removed from Tommy John surgery.  This spring he underwent surgery to remove a bone chip from his right knee.  In 2016 he was named the 29th best New York Mets' prospect by MLB.com.
