The Binghamton Rumble Ponies continue their road trip with the first game of a three game series in Bowie against the Baysox tonight at 6:30 (air at 6:15 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).

Binghamton split a four-game series at Trenton over the weekend.  The Thunder, a New York Yankees affiliate, is battling Binghamton for the top spot in the Eastern Division and Binghamton emerged with a one-half game lead.

Entering tonight's (Monday's) game the Rumble Ponies are 23-15 while the Baysox, Baltimore's Double-A affiliate, are 16-26 and in fifth place in the Eastern Division. Anthony Kay starts on the mound tonight for the Rumble Ponies.  His record is 3-2 and is second in the Eastern League with an ERA of 1.24.  Countering for the Baysox is Alex Wells who is 2-1 and a 2.28 ERA.

Second baseman Luis Carpio had an electrifying Rumble Pony debut in Sunday's 7-1 victory over Trenton.  Called up from Class A St. Lucie prior to Sunday's game Carpio went 2-3, scored three runs and smacked a two-run home run.
