The Binghamton Mets didn't get back to town until after 10 this morning following some bus problems but they will be ready to start a three-game series tonight at 7:05 (6:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF) when they host Erie at NYSEG Stadium.  The B-Mets capped their three-game series in Richmond last night with a 4-3 win over the Flying Squirrels.  With that victory they won the series two games to one.

Heading into tonight's home game the B-Mets boast the best record in the Eastern League at 44-27. They have won eight of their last ten contests and lead Portland by seven games and Trenton by eight games in The EL's Eastern Division.. The SeaWolves are in second place in the Eastern League's Western Division...one game behind Harrisburg..

Logan Verrett is tonight's scheduled B-Mets pitcher.  Verrett leads the Eastern League in victories with eight.  Binghamton has three hitters in the top-ten in the circuit.  Outfielder Cesar Puello is third in batting average at .338.  First Baseman Allan Dykstra is fourth with an average of .319.  Infielder Josh Rodriguez is close behind in fifth place hitting .316.

Following tonight's game the B-Mets host Erie at 7:05 tomorrow night and at 1:05 on Sunday.  The B-Mets then play in Portland next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
