The tires on several vehicles parked in Endicott were damaged by vandals.

Village police received reports from vehicle owners of a series of incidents over the weekend.

Authorities say tires on five cars were said to have been slashed in the area around Monroe Street and Columbus Street.

The vandalism incidents apparently happened Saturday night or Sunday morning. Two of the vehicles reportedly had been parked in a Huron Campus parking lot.

One man who said the tires on his vehicle had been slashed said he had been told that dozens of tires may have been slashed in the spree. But police on Tuesday afternoon said they had not received that many vandalism reports.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incidents. Police were attempting to locate surveillance video as part of their investigation.

People with information about the vandalism may contact Endicott police at 607.785.3341.
