Endicott Police Charge Vestal Man with Rape, Burglary
A Vestal man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault and a burglary in Endicott.
Authorities say 20-year-old Deion Oakley of Route 26 is a suspected in connection with incidents that occurred in March and April at separate locations in the village.
Detectives say Oakley was arrested Wednesday.
In the first incident, investigators say Oakley is accused of having sex with forcible compulsion in March with a 19-year-old woman.
Police say the second incident occurred on April 27. Oakley allegedly entered a home on Parsons Avenue and stole property. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are possible.
Oakley faces two felony counts. He has been charged with first-degree rape and second-degree burglary.
Oakley was arraigned in Endicott village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
