Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Endwell and Binghamton Burglaries
Authorities say a Broome County man with a record of 47 arrests will be heading to state prison on two burglary counts.
According to the district attorney's office, Alex Ferrer of Endicott received a 15-year sentence from Broome County Court Judge Kevin Dooley.
A jury in April convicted the 48-year-old Ferrer on the burglary charges. He had been arrested for allegedly entering residences in Endwell and on Main Street in Binghamton without permission and stealing property. The incidents occurred on March 25, 2020.
The judge ordered Ferrer's prison time be followed by five years of post-release supervision.
State police arrested Ferrer three years ago after an investigation into several cases of graffiti that damaged vehicles and businesses in western Broome County.
