Endicott Keeps Services Going, Asks Residents for Patience
The Village of Endicott says it is keeping as many of its workers home as possible with the departments working out ways to get their main duties done with minimal number of people.
Officials are asking residents to be patient and assure people that services are still operating including refuse and recycling pickup, law enforcement and fire protection. The electric department is on call 24 hours a day for electric emergency and the water department is checking all water tanks and equipment every day and taking water samples.
Yard waste, however, is not being collected and, before the coronavirus emergency, the Village already announced all construction debris must be taken to the Broome County landfill or the collection site on Scarborough Drive.
Village parks are closed as ordered by the Broome County Executive.
