Endicott Wins $10 Million in Downtown Revitalization Funding

The village of Endicott has been awarded $10 million as part of New York state's downtown revitalization initiative program.

The announcement was made Wednesday morning by state Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation commissioner Erik Kulleseid at the Endicott Visitors Center.

Village mayor Linda Jackson said the money will help to "build and expand upon important projects we've already done."

Endicott had been a runner-up in past rounds of downtown revitalization competition. The village submitted its revised application last September.

The proposal outlined a vision to develop the Washington Avenue corridor as a working downtown district to support workers at existing and future businesses located at the Huron Campus.
