Driver Charged After Crashing into Cars in West Endicott
An Endicott man was arrested after the vehicle he was driving struck two cars in the town of Union.
Authorities say 64-year-old Mark Patton was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.
According to New York State Police, the crashes occurred in West Endicott shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators say Patton's car hit a vehicle as he turned onto June Street from North Duane Avenue. His car then struck another vehicle.
Patton was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for a medical evaluation.
Police say they believe Patton had been driving while under the influence of drugs. In addition to driving while impaired, he was cited for unsafely moving from a lane.
Patton was ordered to appear in Union town court on September 4.
